About the Go Green initiative

STEELON designs pre-engineered buildings that utilize maximum natural lighting, reducing the use of electricity that provides artificial lighting. We also insulate our pre-engineered buildings in such a way that it minimizes the cost of heating and cooling at enormous levels. While wood and lumber requires cutting down of trees and also raises the possibility of inviting termites and mold, STEELON uses inorganic steel which does not hook termites or mold. Again, the natural ventilation provided in the buildings reduce the overall consumption of electricity and energy.

How we are sustainable

A large proportion of landfill debris is because of construction and demolition waste. Steel-framed buildings last longer than other conventional buildings, ultimately reducing C & D debris. Also, most steel components are recyclable which in turn promotes sustainability and environmentally conscious approach.

PEB offers a variety of advantages over traditional construction work, starting from time and cost efficiency where manufacturing, assembling, and installation are happening at a single point. Moreover, every warehouse, factory, or retail space is custom-designed based on the needs of clients, with the use of durable and sustainable materials with minimal disruption of outside factors.

The aerodynamically designed structures and panels are crafted to sustain the wind drag and the frames and connections are specifically immune against high wind storms. Sloped roofs and integrated gutter systems prevent water pooling and leakage that happens during heavy rainfalls.

Every panel is designed to tolerate extreme sun exposure and thermal explosion. All PEB structures are designed with flexibility and durability in mind and are sufficient to endure all natural forces like snowfall, rainfall, seismic waves, thermal explosion, etc.

There are no fixed restrictions or regulations related to size as PEB structures are primarily scalable and flexible. Pre-engineered steel buildings can be customized to make a small portable space unit, a kitchen cabinet a tall skyscraper, and a factory warehouse. Small-scale PEBs however might not be as cost-effective as large buildings because of the fixed rate of fabrication and transportation.

While there are no strict limitations, extremely tall PEBs, and high-loaded structures might need additional reinforcements and robust designs, making traditional construction or hybrid methods more feasible.

Flooring is not traditionally included in the PEB package. In standard Pre-engineered buildings, the primary focus remains on structural frameworks, walls & panels, roofing, and other accessories. Flooring is usually not included because it requires other raw materials and fabrication methods than the ones required in erecting steel frameworks. However, flooring can be included as an add-on service based on the client’s needs.

PEBs are known for their customization and scalability and therefore there are many packages available that suit the requirements of the clients. The packages are bifurcated based on the scope of the work, the complexity of the project, the materials used, and other additional factors.
